CLEAN | CLEAR | CUT, the title of the second Malta Biennale aims to reclaim the power of art as a tool to foster critical awareness—to cleanse away what is toxic, to clarify what is darkened, and to cut through the noise that increasingly invades contemporary societies. The layered historical context and the coexistence of multiple exhibition formats in the Maltese Islands create a very particular rhythm in the “parcours” proposed to visitors. Travelling across them, the dialogue between projects and context becomes tangible.
