Bettina Hutschek (b.1977, Kempen, Germany) is a visual artist, storyteller and filmmaker who lives and works in Malta and Berlin. She studied Art History and Philosophy (BA), received her MA in Fine Arts at UdK Berlin, and her MFA at HGB Leipzig. She worked in Art Mediation and was a visiting scholar at the Department of Performance Studies at NYU Tisch. In 2013, she founded FRAGMENTA Malta to organise and curate experimental pop-up exhibitions in the public space of the Maltese Islands. In 2017, she co-curated (with Raphael Vella) the Malta Pavilion at Biennale Arte 2017, Venezia. Her artistic work has been screened, exhibited and performed internationally.
