Madeleine Fenwick (b.1988, London, UK) has an interdisciplinary practice exploring belief and symbols within the universal narratives of history and transference to rituals and objects in places and bodies. She views making objects as a form of alchemy; the transformation of materials containing the creative drive inherent in myth making. Fenwick is driven to explore the archaeology of materials and reference in places of historic and environmental diversity. She is currently working on a sculptural development program in Mexico City. Her work has evolved towards making contemplative sculptural installations based on the inner/outer relationship with her physical body and external intangible bodies.
