Webinar for artists

Heritage Malta’s MUŻA in collaboration with Arts Council Malta, and with the cooperation of the Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs and Trade, VisitMalta, and Spazju Kreattiv are proud to present Malta’s first art biennale: maltabiennale.art. This magnificent event will transform some of Malta’s most beloved historic sites and outdoor areas into stages for artistic creations and expressions.

The maltabiennale.art will be taking place between March and May 2024 which will coincide with the turn of spring; a glorious time of year that sees the Mediterranean islands bloom with warm weather and extended hours of daylight.

maltabiennale.art will transform some of the islands’ most cherished historic sites into venues for contemporary artistic expression. The capital city, Valletta, is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site that together with its neighbouring harbour cities of Birgu, Bormla, and Senglea shapes a dense array of intact original palazzos, forts & churches that characterize the archipelago’s expansive historic heritage.

In preparation for the maltabiennale.art, artists are invited for a 1-hour webinar on 27 June 2023 at 13.30 CET.

The scope of the webinar is for applicants to meet the Artistic Director of the  maltabiennale.art, to discuss the Theme, ask about practical aspects of the application and the budget for the grant, and to explain the selection process.
