FINE ART AND HERITAGE: Visual dialogue and spatial communication

Painting and sculpturing are a medium that carries an idea originates from the very beginnings of recognizing artistic expression in humans. Topic of the concept is on the Site specific character of the exhibition, two genders (female / male), two basic elements (water / earth) and two movable heritage medium (painting / sculpture), come together in the dialogue of the protections point bringing the specificity of the heritage and contemporary authors. This concept refers a little bit to the romantic view for the white sea olive groves concept.

Curator

Biljana Jotić
MA Art Historian and Curator, Director of the Museum of Applied Art. She graduated in History of Art at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade (MA), and after completing her volunteer internship at the National Museum of Serbia, she defended her habilitation and received the title of Curator. During her independent entrepreneurship, she initiated and realized several author’s projects, regional and international, large number of author’s solo and group exhibitions. She was the selector of numerous international exhibitions, she was the judge of award-winning exhibitions, initiated and moderated several panels, expert guidance through exhibitions. Author of numerous exhibition settings. Овер 20 of her author’s texts have been published in professional magazines and publications. She is the author of the documentary series Woman about a Woman, directed by Boris Miljković, and co-author of the documentary film Mediala: Once upon the time, produced by national TV (RTS 3). Her author’s projects have been supported several times by funds from the Ministry of Culture and Information and the Secretariat of the City of Belgrade, as well as IPA funds of the European Union. She is a member of the Council of the Faculty of Architecture, Belgrade. In the capacity of MPU, she is actively engaged in programming and management activities with the aim of encouraging various forms of cooperation, with a focus on connecting the public and civil sectors. On the international level, the Commissioner and Curator of projects on behalf of Ministry of Culture Republic of Serbia: Triennale in Milan (2022); the London Design Biennale and the Prague Quadrennial of Stage Design (2023); Malta Art Biennale (2024) as well as the president of the Council of the Biennale of Architecture in Venice (2023).Her previous work has been covered by numerous and different media sources, at the regional and international level.

Ivana Živić
Ivana Živić (1979) Born in Sarajevo (BIH). She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Arts in Belgrade, Department of Painting (2004). She completed her postgraduate studies at the same university (2008). She has exhibited in 20 solo and over 50 group exhibitions at home and abroad. Awards: Praise for drawing, Vladimir Velickovic Fund 2016, Rotary Club Award 2014, Belgrade ; Award for Production Work, Mangelos Fund 2012, The Second Biennial of Drawings in Pancevo. Artist in Residence at Serbian Art Month, Art hub, Abu Dhabi 2018 ; GLO’ART (Global Art Centre) Lanaken, Belgium (2015) and at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris (2009).
Prof Djordje Stanojević
Djordje Stanojević (1974) Born in the Osečina, cenrtal Serbia, he graduated at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade (PhD). After experiences from travelling and working abroad, he is a full professor at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade. Founder and artistic director of the Nature & Art project. He deals with art theory, writes criticism and essays.
Miodrag Rogan
Miodrag Rogan (1970) Born in Bileća, (Bosnia an Hertzegovina) he moves in Belgrade where he is graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts and Design in Belgrade. He exhibited at several independent exhibitions in the country and abroad. A significant number of his sculptures can be found in public spaces. Regarding to old masters he still lives on orders and he is very active in that.
