The narration begins with a painting suggesting a multidimensional mainsail, featuring various blurred colors that embody the potential assimilation of the viewer into its atonal, non-flag realm. An anonymous black silhouette of Venus, possibly born in Malta, presides over the scene. The second moment unfolds with a collaborative sculpture of a boat, symbolizing ‘the now’ and the communal achievement of taking root in an island. The final moment is a retrospective and personal ceramic sculpture, reflecting the artist’s experience in Malta and turning back to explore the artist’s sense of intimacy with nature, the seashore, and the land.
